School locks down for 1/2 hour

Sept. 4, 2007 — Around 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 29, the Susanville Police notified the Principal Patty Gunderson of Diamond View Middle School of a situation developing that required all students to stay inside classrooms with the doors locked.
 

Herlong Utilities GM charged with embezzlement at former job

Sept. 4, 2007 — The current general manager of Herlong Utilities, Inc., Pat Williams, will be arraigned Oct. 1 in the San Bernardino Superior Court for allegedly embezzling more than $138,000 from his former employer Valley of Enchantment Mutual Water Company.
