Westwood Museum breakfast considered a success
Saturday, July 25, 2015 — Westwood Museum Inc. had another successful fundraiser which helps make the nonprofit fiscally strong, a goal of all board members. The Logger’s Breakfast, served Saturday, July 11, as part of the Paul Bunyan Mountain and Blues Festival, netted $848.48.
The board of directors critiqued the fundraiser during a Tuesday, July 14, meeting and agreed selling books and other items from the Westwood Museum store at the community center where the breakfast was held had been beneficial. Also using artifacts as table decorations worked well, prompting many to tour the museum later in the day.
Kay Johnson, docent coordinator, said there had been a higher volume of visitors to the museum during the past two weeks. She said she was very proud of the job the docents were doing.
