Local program receives funding
Tuesday, March 3, 2015 — Lassen Family Services, Inc. and Lassen County Victim Witness has received funding to promote community awareness of crime victims’ rights and services for an upcoming week-long observance.
The funding was received through the National Association of VOCA Assistance Administrators through a grant from the Office for Victims of Crime, within the Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice.
The week of April 19 through 25 is National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, which was first designated by President Ronald Reagan in 1981. It is designed to seek general public awareness of, and knowledge about the wide range of rights and services available to people who have been victimized by crime.Add a comment
